Matija Kopić, founder of Gideon, a successful robotics and artificial intelligence company that develops autonomous mobile robots for industry and logistics, announced on his LinkedIn profile that he is stepping down from the position of CEO of Gideon for personal reasons.
– It has been a life honor to co-found, lead, and serve the extraordinary people of Gideon over the past 5.5 years, alongside my co-founders Dr. Edin Koča, Josip Česić, Kruno Stražanac, and other inspiring individuals who joined us on this journey – he wrote in the post.
He added that he will remain with the company in an advisory role and announced that his position will be taken over by Steve Petrović, who has been serving as the production director at Gideon Brothers.
Steve joined Gideon Brothers from the position of CEO of Elektrode Zagreb, and prior to that, he held several management positions in Croatia and Canada. Among other roles, he was the head of the technology and industrial practice department at C.J. Stafford & Associates, a Canadian executive search and interim management firm, and general director of the production department at Tromont in Split.
