Stanić Beverages, a company owned by Stanić Group, is the new owner of almost 99 percent of the shares of Maraska d.d., thereby realizing the purchase agreement for the acquisition of Maraska d.d. between the former owner Mepas Group and the new owner Stanić Group, which was signed in September last year.
After signing the purchase agreement under which Stanić Beverages became the owner of 45.3 percent of the shares of Maraska d.d. that were previously owned by Koestlin and 52.9 percent of the shares held by Saponia, a binding public offer for the purchase of the remaining shares of Maraska d.d. from minority shareholders followed, along with approval from the Competition Protection Agency (AZTN), thus fulfilling all prerequisites for the completion of the transaction.
– By acquiring Maraska d.d., Stanić Group is expanding its product portfolio towards strong alcoholic beverages (JAP) and broadening its range of non-alcoholic beverages, becoming the owner of a 200-year-old Croatian brand recognized worldwide. We are extremely proud that Maraska d.d. will be the new member of our group, as we see great potential for development, modernization, expansion, and synergy. We are confident that our know-how, gained through collaboration with world-renowned brands in the JAP sector, along with the knowledge we possess from managing the most recognized Croatian juice brand Juicy, will strengthen the position of Maraska’s products in the markets of Croatia, the region, and the world. On this occasion, I would like to thank the owner of Mepas Group, Mirko Grbešić, for the exceptionally correct business cooperation and the Agram Group for their support, ” said Svjetlan Stanić, owner and CEO of Stanić Group.
