The Employer Partner certificate awarded by the independent consulting organization SELECTIO has once again been awarded to British American Tobacco, which employs 52,000 people globally.
– “We want to be an inspiring company that attracts and retains passionate and diverse people, supports engaged teams, and in doing so, we want to build a strong and clearly differentiated reputation as an employer. At a global level, we have set extremely high standards in human resource management, which are confirmed by prestigious global awards – said Veronika Blažev Dimitrijević, Senior HR Business Partner for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia.
Blažev Dimitrijević also emphasized that their factory in Kanfanar has become one of the few in the world where, in addition to cigarettes, heated tobacco products are produced. In Croatia, this international company employs more than 1,500 people, and as stated in their press release, they are currently undergoing a major transformation centered around Croatia.
BAT stated that through the latest investment cycle of 600 million kuna in new production lines at the factory in Kanfanar for the production of heated tobacco products for gloTM Hyper devices, an additional 70 workers have been employed.
The Employer Partner certificate was launched in 2005, and around 100 organizations participate annually. Its goal is to equally support employers who meet high HR quality standards, regardless of the size of the organization, popularity, or location, as well as employees seeking a healthy and stimulating environment.
