The Association of Trade and Logistics is organizing a conference titled 'IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EURO – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW' where expert panels will be held by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Croatian National Bank, and the State Inspectorate. The conference will take place on June 29, and participation is free.
The introduction of the euro is one of the most operationally demanding and significant challenges that Croatian employers have ever faced. In mid-May, the Croatian Parliament adopted the Law on the Introduction of the Euro as the official currency in the Republic of Croatia, the Government also published additional Guidelines for Economic Adjustment, and a special body 'Coordination Committee for Economic Adjustment and Consumer Protection' was established, which issued comprehensive instructions – but practical implementation raises numerous uncertainties and questions for many employers that require clarification and answers.
On the other hand, employers should implement a complete set of activities to adjust their technical systems and operational protocols within just a few weeks and be ready first for dual display and pricing calculations, and very soon for a complete transition to the new currency.
