The President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Luka Burilović established a new company Zakota at the end of last year. According to data from the Court Register, the predominant activity of the company according to the NKD classification is 'leasing and management of own real estate or real estate taken on lease (leasing)'.
The company is headquartered in Zagreb, Burilović is the founder and director, and it was established with a capital of 20 thousand kuna. Burilović confirmed through the HGK that he founded the company, but that it 'has not been operational since its establishment, meaning no income has been generated from its activities'.
According to data from Poslovna Hrvatska, the company currently has no income or employees. Burilović did not respond to additional questions about business plans.
Recall that when it was recently reported that Burilović, as the head of HGK and through membership in several supervisory boards, receives 60 thousand kuna monthly, he 'justified' himself by stating that he is neither an official nor a politician but an entrepreneur.
Burilović emphasized at that time that he has been an entrepreneur since 1991 when he founded his first company. It turned out that his company Agrotehna Lipovac was long ago shut down and is not even listed in the court register. Burilović previously confirmed that he also has a rental space, but he did not want to discuss the income he generates in that way.
As previously reported, Burilović’s salary at HGK is 23 thousand kuna, and he has additional income as a member of various supervisory boards, including the supervisory board of Ina and Badel. He is currently the deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of Podravka and a member of the Supervisory Board of HBOR.
