Apsolon’s Measure for Success: 15 Years, 300 Clients, 20 Countries, Over 350 Million Euros Invested in Non-Repayable EU Funds

Leading Croatian consulting company Apsolon has been successfully operating for over 15 years and today boasts more than 300 clients from various manufacturing and service sectors, with fifty consultants available daily to advise them in four key areas: EU funds and grants, smart governance, digital business transformation, and financial and business consulting. Apsolon’s consultants share knowledge and experience in nine competence centers, enabling an individual approach to each client.

Support in Investments

For its clients in the private and public sectors, Apsolon has secured over 350 million euros in non-repayable funds from European Union funds. In utilizing EU funds, it advises high-tech and fast-growing companies as well as large reputable companies throughout the entire process: from planning and preparing investments, applying for grants to project implementation, public procurement, and financial reporting.

For Atlantic Group, it provided support for investment and innovation projects such as equipping production facilities and introducing new functionalities of the Cedevita cap. For Inspecto from Đakovo, it provided comprehensive support in building the Center for Laboratory Testing in the field of agroecology and food. For processors like Lima Samobor, it developed and implemented more than 10 successful projects for modernizing the production facility with new high-tech production lines and laboratories; complete support is also provided for growing innovative companies like Altpro.

Apsolon’s contribution is also visible in advising local and regional self-governments in preparing development strategies and plans, as well as in the realization of investment projects financed by EU funds in many cities such as Osijek, Rijeka, Virovitica, Koprivnica, and Gospić. Education through online seminars (webinars) on opportunities for drawing available funds from EU funds – especially the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the Multiannual Financial Framework – are ongoing activities conducted by Apsolon’s educators.

The funds available from these two instruments will be particularly important for the recovery of the economy from the crisis caused by the pandemic, war, and disruptions in supply chains. The necessity for a faster recovery was also demonstrated by this year’s Croatian Digital Index – a study measuring the state of digital transformation of the Croatian economy and showing the impact of the COVID crisis on the application of digital technologies in companies.

Data collected from 273 companies showed that the state of digitalization of the Croatian economy is still unsatisfactory and that the growth rate is very slow, although the pandemic has slightly accelerated it, and there is significant room for improvement in the coming years. Digitalization is important at both the central and local government levels, therefore Apsolon’s experts provide professional assistance to state administration bodies as well as cities and counties in optimizing business processes and digital transformation.
