The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund has announced that this year’s call for incentives for electric vehicles will start on June 27, and the public invitation confirming all details of the call will be published one week before the specified date.
This year, the total amount of incentives has been increased, with 103.3 million kuna allocated, which is more than in previous years. Last year, 90 million was secured, and the year before that only 44 million.
Other conditions remain unchanged
The categories of vehicles and the amounts of incentives remain the same as in previous years. For electric vehicles in the M1 and N1 categories (vehicles for the transport of passengers up to a maximum of 8 seats and delivery vehicles up to 3.5 tons), 70,000 kuna or up to 40 percent of the vehicle’s value is provided, and for plug-in hybrids up to 40,000 kuna.
For electric vehicles in the L1-L7 categories (mopeds, motorcycles with two, three, or four wheels), 20,000 kuna or up to 40 percent of the vehicle’s value is allowed. Additionally, vehicles in the N2, N3, M2, and M3 categories with electric drive (vehicles for the transport of passengers or cargo vehicles up to 5 tons or more) are co-financed with a maximum of 400,000 kuna.
Opportunity for Discounts
If you decide to purchase a new electric car, it is recommended to join the association Strujni krug, founded by Hrvoje Prpić at the end of 2019, aimed at promoting electric mobility and improving the rights of electric vehicle drivers in Croatia. Membership in the association allows for additional discounts when purchasing fully electric vehicles ranging from 5 to over 100 thousand kuna. Discounts also include insurance, tires, home chargers, and members can receive discounts on electric scooters and Greyp electric bicycles.
