Infinum Academy this year and in the region, a new cycle of programming courses begins

Do you dream of programming but lack sufficient knowledge or experience? Perhaps you have just graduated from university and lack practical experience, want to enhance your knowledge, or are simply ready for a career change? Applications are open for the new summer cycle of Infinum Academy, a program of free programming education organized by the leading domestic company for design and development of digital products.

This year, five educational programs are offered, and for the first time, they are held in four cities in the region; Zagreb, Ljubljana, Podgorica, and Skopje.

Specifically, the Android course is held at all four locations, iOS in Zagreb, Ljubljana, and Skopje, while Spring and Kotlin, JS and Angular, and Ruby on Rails are held only in Zagreb. However, at a specific location, you only need to be present during the entrance exam. All lectures and consultations with mentors can be conducted online.

Although initially intended primarily for students, today anyone with basic knowledge, which is verified during the entrance exam, can apply.

Infinum Academy mentors are experienced professionals whose task is to impart practical and concrete knowledge to participants over the five weeks that the programs last. The iOS course is led by Filip Gulan, Head of Mobile, who himself attended the Academy in its first season.

– I applied while I was in my second year of university, and I got a job at Infinum a few months later. I would highlight the individual approach and mastering skills that provide an excellent foundation for further development as the greatest advantages of the Academy – emphasizes Filip Gulan.

So far, more than 2,000 people have applied for Infinum Academy programs, and most of those who completed the training later found employment, either at Infinum or at other IT companies.

The program was launched by experts from Infinum seven years ago to try to bridge the gap between theory and practice in programming, which is very noticeable after students graduate from university.

Through the educational programs, 347 participants have gone through so far, of which 87 continued their careers at this company, and as much as 50 percent of all designers at Infinum were participants in their free education and programs.

Applications for free education at Infinum Academy are open until May 15, lectures begin on July 4, and last for five weeks.
