Gas deliveries to Croatia from Russian Gazprom remain regular and are proceeding without difficulties, stated representatives from Prvo plinarsko društvo (PPD).
– Like other companies that have contracts with Gazprom, we have also received a proposal for payment in rubles. At this moment, we are analyzing that proposal and all possible risks. We are also waiting for the position of the European Commission on this matter, and currently, we have no payments – they say at PPD.
They emphasize that they currently have no announcements of supply interruptions.
Russian Gazprom announced on Wednesday that it has halted all gas deliveries to Bulgaria and Poland after both countries refused to pay for gas in rubles. Polish and Bulgarian gas suppliers previously stated that they had received official notifications from Gazprom regarding the interruption of supplies.
Russian gas continues to arrive in Austria in unlimited quantities, despite the suspension of deliveries to Poland and Bulgaria, confirmed Chancellor Karl Nehammer on Wednesday, adding that they are considering new sources of supply due to potential damage to pipelines in the war in Ukraine.
