[Video] Key pieces of equipment for the new facility have arrived at the Rijeka refinery

Last week, two chambers were delivered to the Rijeka refinery from Gijón, Spain, key pieces of equipment for the new facility as part of INA’s Project for the Upgrade of the Rijeka Oil Refinery, costing around 4 billion kuna. Each of them weighs 330 tons and has a volume of 900 m³. Along with the chambers, a 51-meter-long fractionator weighing 300 tons and with a volume of 500 m³ was also delivered. This equipment is the heart of the technological process of the future facility as well as the entire Project for the Upgrade of the Rijeka Oil Refinery.

The project at the Rijeka refinery is also INA’s largest investment project, and construction work on the site has intensified. The Project for the Upgrade of the Rijeka Oil Refinery involves the construction of a facility for processing heavy residues, reconstruction of existing facilities, a new port with a closed storage area, and greater overall complexity. All of this will contribute to greater competitiveness and profitability of the refinery.
