Croatian Company DOK-ING Introduced the Komodo Robotic Platform in Riyadh

Croatian Company DOK-ING has concluded its participation at the World Defense Show in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where the Komodo, a unique robotic platform for operations in conditions of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) hazards, was successfully presented, as stated in a press release.

Komodo was showcased to official delegations from the Saudi Arabian Army, Navy, and National Guard, as well as a number of other international visitors from the defense and security sector. In addition to Komodo, the Saudis also expressed interest in the MV-2, a compact robotic system for demining, removal of improvised explosive devices (C-IED), and other applications in particularly difficult and demanding terrain.

The World Defense Show in Riyadh is being held for the first time this year, with the hosts announcing that it will become a traditional defense industry fair. The fair was established by the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Military Industry (GAMI), with partners including the state military industry company SAMI, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and agencies from the security system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The fair is organized over more than 800,000 square meters of exhibition space, with participation from exhibitors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, and other industry leaders. A total of 450 companies from 37 countries exhibited at the fair, presenting defense and security solutions for land, air, sea, and cyberspace.

– Although this fair is being organized for the first time this year, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the fair, as well as the participation of leading global players from the defense industry. This fair is already on par with established major events of this kind in the world. We were encouraged by the great interest shown by the Saudi hosts, as well as representatives from other countries, in Komodo. We also met with representatives of the largest Saudi mining company Ma’aden, who expressed potential interest in our underground mining machines – said Subeije Kalo, DOK-ING’s sales director for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who led the delegation in Riyadh.
