Oleg Uskoković after Drvoproizvodi also takes over Pan parket

Attorney Oleg Uskoković, who is ownership and management connected with a number of companies (Auctor, Medika…), confirmed to us that the Austrian holding Variso, in which he is a co-owner, will soon sign a contract for the acquisition of Pan parket. And Daniel Smiljanić, the CEO and co-owner of Pan parket (the other co-owner is the German Holzmayr Industrie Dienstleistungen), also confirmed the information about Variso’s entry into Pan parket, but the exact ownership stake is not yet known.

Both interlocutors say that the negotiations have been completed, and Smiljanić emphasizes that he is very satisfied with the completed deal, which will enable Pan parket to further accelerate its development and strengthen its positioning within the Croatian wood industry, as well as in international markets.

– We are particularly pleased that in the final structure of the entire group, the majority will be Croatian ownership, as we are also pleased with Variso’s intentions for further connecting the domestic wood industry precisely under Pan parket – emphasizes Smiljanić.

Namely, as Uskoković states, this transaction is part of a broader strategy for connecting the domestic wood industry, according to which Pan parket will be the bearer of that connection.

– We are convinced that in this way, the Croatian wood industry will gain new momentum for accelerated transformation towards a model that can compete in international markets through technological and production innovations – notes Uskoković.

Variso recently, unexpectedly before Pan parket, also acquired 98.82 percent of Drvoproizvodi from Jastrebarsko because the pace of negotiations, Uskoković explains, was somewhat faster. However, regardless of that, he emphasizes, Pan parket will be the backbone of future connections of ‘innovative, promising, and successful companies from the domestic wood industry under the majority ownership of Croatian individuals and legal entities’.

Uskoković emphasizes that the reason for establishing Variso as a holding is that these acquisitions are temporarily supported by Austrian financial institutions, which significantly accelerates transactions.
