Lider invest Split: How to Create a Stimulating Environment for Investments – Three Days Left to Apply

This year, the cycle of investment forums Lider invest begins, aimed at promoting production investments that create new jobs, increase exports, and generate added value. Such investments are crucial for economic recovery, which is why we are passionately preparing a gathering of entrepreneurs, representatives of institutions, and public and local administration for Lider invest in Split, which will take place on March 3rd at the Atrium Hotel in Split, starting at 11 AM.

After the welcoming speeches by the editor-in-chief of the business weekly Lider Miodrag Šajatović and the president of the Chamber of Commerce – Split County Chamber Jozo Tomaš, the event will be officially opened by Ivica Puljak, the mayor of the City of Split. This will be followed by a presentation of the Lider invest project and then a panel discussion titled ''How to Create a Stimulating Environment for Investments?''. We have gathered a number of experts who will provide the latest information on initiatives, implementation, and financing opportunities for investment projects, including Antonio Kuzmanić, the deputy mayor of the City of Split, Anđelko Katavić, the head of the Department for Economy, EU Funds, and Agriculture of the Split-Dalmatia County, Boris Pekić, partner and director of UHY Consulting, which is the founder of the entrepreneurial accelerator in Split, Ante Mihanović, director of the Split-Dalmatian Pharmacy, and Dario Boras, director of Amplifico from Klis.

– The Split-Dalmatian Pharmacy has invested one hundred million kuna of its own funds in the construction of the Galenic-Analytical Laboratory in Dugopolje. With this project, we have enabled an increase in production capacity, technological advancement of production, and thus ensured the availability of pharmaceutical preparations of the highest quality. This is the first pharmaceutical production facility built to the highest global standards (Good Manufacturing Practice) in southern Croatia, emphasizes Ante Mihanović, director of the Split-Dalmatian Pharmacy.

As part of the event in October this year, Lider invest will also award prizes for the best small, medium, and large production investments in Croatia. The criteria for selecting the best investments are the share of exports, the number of newly created jobs, and the modernity of technology. The quality of the submitted investment projects will be evaluated by the Expert Committee consisting of Mladen Vedriš, president (Effectus College), Tomislav Radoš (Chamber of Commerce), Mladen Fogec (Association of Foreign Investors in the Republic of Croatia), Zdenko Lucić (Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia), Marijana Ivanov (Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb), Bojan Jerbić (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb), Boris Teški (Instar), and Miodrag Šajatović (Lider media).

Participation in the Forum in Split is free of charge, but registration is mandatory at: https://lider.events/lider-invest-split/prijava/.
