ZSE: Crobex10 Reached Record Level

Last week on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, the Crobex index rose for the seventh consecutive week, reaching a new highest level since March 2017, while Crobex10 reached its highest level since its introduction in 2009.

The Crobex index increased by 1.52 percent last week, to 2,171 points. It has strengthened for the seventh consecutive week, reaching a new highest level since March 2017.

Crobex10, on the other hand, jumped by 1.97 percent, to 1,320 points, which is its highest level since its introduction in 2009. It has strengthened for the third consecutive week.

Among sector indices, the food sector saw the highest increase, by 2.91 percent, while the transport sector experienced the largest decline, by 2.67 percent.

Regular trading volume reached 35 million kuna, which is 6.2 million more than the previous week. Additionally, there was a turnover of 2.04 million kuna in HT shares, priced at 185.5 kuna.

The most liquid stock in regular trading was Podravka, with a turnover of 4.94 million kuna. Its price jumped by 5.83 percent, to 690 kuna.

Following was HT shares, with a turnover of 4.84 million kuna. Its price remained the same as a week earlier, at 185 kuna.

The preferred shares of Adrisa recorded a turnover of 2.67 million kuna, and its price rose by 1.18 percent, to 428 kuna.

Investor focus was also on tourist shares. Thus, Valamar Riviera shares achieved a turnover of 2.44 million kuna, and its price weakened by 0.58 percent, to 34.5 kuna.

Arene Hospitality Group shares, on the other hand, had a turnover of 2.14 million kuna, and its price plummeted by 3.87 percent, to 298 kuna.

Among the more liquid stocks, the price of Dalekovod shares soared by as much as 50.50 percent, to 128 kuna.

At the same time, the prices of shipping stocks fell the most among the liquid ones, with Jadroplov down by 9.4 percent, to 53 kuna, and Atlantska Plovidba down by 7.43 percent, to 374 kuna.

From business announcements, the management of Petrokemija announced that at the general assembly, scheduled for February 21, shareholders will decide on the withdrawal of 55 million regular shares from the Zagreb Stock Exchange, "primarily because the company does not derive significant benefits from trading on the regulated market, while on the other hand, it has significant costs and obligations that it must fulfill as a company listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange".

Petrokemija commits to buy back shares from all shareholders who vote against the decision to withdraw shares within three months from the date of registration of the decision in the court register of the Commercial Court in Zagreb at a fair compensation, i.e., at the average share price calculated as the weighted average of all prices achieved on the regulated market in the last three months before the date of the announcement of the general assembly.

Petrokemija shares increased by 0.62 percent last week, to 32.4 kuna, with a turnover of 586 thousand kuna.

In the domestic market last week, a total of 65 shares were traded, of which the price of 33 rose, 20 fell, and 12 stagnated.
