Signed Agreement Between Končar and ZET for the Repair and Maintenance of Trams Worth Nearly 130 Million Kuna

Končar – Electric Vehicles and Zagreb Electric Tram (ZET) have signed a framework agreement for the repair and maintenance of low-floor trams of series 2200 and 2300, with a total value of 129.9 million kuna, it was announced today by Končar Elektroindustrija.

The framework agreement is concluded for a period of two years, and based on it, individual contracts for the repair and maintenance of tram vehicles delivered to the City of Zagreb will be concluded.

Končar reminds that Končar-Electric Vehicles delivered 142 low-floor trams to ZET between 2005 and 2010, with a total value of over 250 million euros.

The low-floor tram and all its important subsystems are the result of in-house development, in which numerous companies of the Končar Group participated, Končar emphasizes.

They also state that thanks to successful long-term cooperation with the City of Zagreb, the prerequisites for a breakthrough into the demanding European market have been created, where Končar is represented with a Croatian high-tech product.

The signed framework agreement is a continuation of long-term cooperation with ZET and is in line with Končar’s business strategy – to build long-term relationships with customers alongside product delivery, which are important for achieving the best performance of Končar’s products throughout their lifecycle, it is further emphasized in the announcement.
