Former head of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Nadan Vidošević was found guilty today on suspicion of organizing a group that siphoned millions from the Chamber through fictitious businesses in the so-called Remorker affair, reports Index.
This non-final verdict comes eight years after his arrest and nearly five years since the trial began. Zdenka Peternel, his closest associate, was also found guilty. Vidošević and Peternel were found guilty of criminal association with Davor Komerički and Igor Premilovec, with whom they extracted 35.5 million kuna from the HGK.
The former head of accounting at HGK Josipa Miladinov and her deputy Jasna Mikić also appeared before the panel of the County Court in Zagreb.
Vidošević was found guilty of purchasing sculptures with money from the Croatian Chamber of Economy and for buying an excavator with money from Kraša, reports Jutarnji list.
