Open Applications for UNICEF’s CSR Academy ‘Children are Our Most Important Business’

The UNICEF Office for Croatia is organizing a unique education on the impact of business on children – a CSR academy titled 'Children are Our Most Important Business'. The new cycle of education consists of four interactive virtual workshops, with the first in the series taking place on Thursday, December 9, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The topic of children’s rights in business is becoming increasingly important in the context of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, as evidenced by the fact that over 110 participants from 70 different companies have attended the CSR academy over the past four years.

– Exceptionally engaging, interesting, and interactive lectures, full of examples of good practices. I will certainly apply the knowledge I have gained in practice, as well as in the preparation of some strategic documents. Excellent lecturers, guests, and participants. Highly recommended –   said Eva de Zan Prusina, head of the public relations office of Plava Laguna d.d.

Under the guidance of renowned experts in social responsibility and sustainability, participants in the CSR academy will acquire knowledge and practical tools that will help them better understand the various ways in which business can impact children and what steps companies can take to incorporate children’s rights into business processes and management.

In the area of corporate reporting under the new legislative framework, the CSR academy offers guidelines on when and how to conduct a thorough analysis of business related to the impact on children’s rights and how to publish key performance indicators.

The education is intended for management and senior management, heads of corporate communications and public relations, marketing professionals, sustainability experts, and human resources specialists.

The CSR academy will be conducted from December 9, 2021, to March 2022. Attendance at the education is free, and participants who attend all workshops will receive a certificate of completion of the education program.

The number of participants is limited, and applications are accepted until December 3 via LINK.

The CSR Academy is conducted by the UNICEF Office for Croatia, in collaboration with the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Global Compact Network Croatia, and the Croatian Employers’ Association.
