The Largest Cryptocurrency Investment Fund in the World Established

Co-founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, Fred Ehrsam, and former partner at the investment fund Sequoia Capital, Matt Huang, established Paradigm in 2018. They have now injected an additional $2.5 billion into the venture capital fund to invest in a new generation of companies, technologies, ideas, and protocols from the crypto world, according to TechCrunch.

With this move, Paradigm has become the largest crypto fund ever, surpassing the $2.2 billion crypto fund announced this summer by the private American venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

The founders of Paradigm initially aimed to raise $1.5 billion, but investor interest proved to be significantly higher, allowing them to raise the aforementioned $2.5 billion in just one month.

– If you are an entrepreneur on the front lines of crypto development, reach out to us – stated the Paradigm fund.

Paradigm has been at the forefront of so-called crypto-native funds aimed at outperforming investment organizations betting on the broader technology industry. Some of Paradigm’s most notable investments include FTX, Coinbase, BlockFi, Maker, Uniswap, and Sky Mavis. It is worth noting that since the fund’s inception, it has invested and generated more than $10 billion. They have also invested in the crypto market and companies involved in it, with individual investments ranging from one to one hundred million dollars.

Several large venture firms are slowly embracing cryptocurrencies, but Paradigm’s main VC competitor is likely to be Andreessen Horowitz, which has closed dozens of deals this year in its third crypto-centric fund, creating new crypto unicorns while doubling its investments months later.
