Members of the Management Board of dm today presented the business results for 2020/2021 at a press conference held at Matis Absolute Lounge and online. The director of dm, Mirko Mrakužić, emphasized that the company achieved a revenue of 2.36 billion kuna in 2021, representing a growth of 4.47 percent. Positive business development continued in the over-the-counter medical products segment, which grew by 19.18 percent. Mrakužić also reflected on 25 years of dm’s operations in Croatia and spoke about new business plans.
– In the year we marked the 25th anniversary of our operations in Croatia, we confirmed our leadership position in the Croatian drugstore market. We invested 67.5 million kuna in the modernization of 14 stores, the opening of five stores, and seven specialized departments for over-the-counter medical products, as well as in expanding the range and developing services in the dm online shop. We are particularly proud that from a small store on the outskirts of Zagreb, opened 25 years ago with eleven employees, we have grown to 164 stores with around 1680 employees – said Mrakužić.
He highlighted that dm plans new investments amounting to 73 million kuna, and next year will open five new stores, increase the product assortment, and expand the offerings in the online shop. Gordana Picek, procurator, head of procurement and marketing, pointed out that instead of celebrating 25 years of dm in Croatia, they donated money for the reconstruction of Petrinja, Glina, and Sisak affected by the earthquake.
– As part of the {TOGETHER} competition for Petrinja, Glina, and Sisak, we selected 32 projects in which we will invest more than four million kuna – says Picek. She added that dm donated five million kuna in 2021, and over the past 25 years, a total of 38 million kuna. She also spoke about the donations they are preparing for the next year and the success of the dm brand.
