Ina is developing a bio-refinery project at a location in Sisak as one of the sustainable alternatives, according to a response from the company to Lider. Namely, at the General Assembly of Ina, which will be held on December 17, it is planned to make a decision on the addition of agricultural activities, among other things.
In that oil company, they say that the project is still in the development phase, which includes preparation for potential production processes of the bio-refinery, as well as securing raw materials.
– Conducted tests have confirmed the energy plant miscanthus as a good raw material for the production of second-generation bioethanol. Accordingly, the company plans activities related to the establishment of miscanthus plantations to ensure planting material for potential future commercial plantations. Additionally, the production processes of the bio-refinery potentially include the need for the use and processing of other agricultural raw materials, such as straw – they respond.
In addition to the mentioned activities, Ina is also seeking possible sources of financing, and the public will be timely informed about the final investment decision.
