In the action of nature guardians and Jamnica, the banks of the Kupa River in Sisak were cleaned

A large amount of various waste was cleaned up during the ecological action on the banks of the Kupa River in Sisak. The action was organized by the association Rangerguardians of nature of Croatia with the support of the brand Jamnica. Citizens, volunteers, and employees of Jamnica cleaned the banks of the Kupa River, making the environment more beautiful and cleaner through their joint contribution, while also reminding everyone how important it is to care for nature and its preservation for future generations.

– It is important to awaken ecological awareness and responsibility among citizens and to highlight the wealth of Croatia’s water resources, which is why we continue with such actions throughout the country. Thank you to the volunteers, Jamnica, and their employees who responded and contributed to the cleaning of the banks of the Kupa River. This shows a good example of how an association and a company can collaborate towards a common goal, which is environmental preservation, especially in the area where the company operates – stated Hrvoje Jurković from the Ranger association – guardians of nature of Croatia.

Jamnica, a partner in the action, continuously works on improving environmental protection standards, especially through production, and emphasizes its commitment to environmental care further on its packaging with the stamp Going green – less plastic, less CO2.

– I am glad that Jamnica is part of this action because the Kupa River flows near our bottling plant in Pisarovina, as well as the source of our natural mineral water Jamnica. Water is our most valuable resource, and protecting water is our obligation and duty. Along with water protection, we put a lot of effort into environmental protection. This year, we made significant progress by introducing more environmentally friendly packaging: lighter PET bottles and 100% recycled PET bottles. Thanks to this, we plan to reduce the amount of plastic by about 900 tons annually and CO2 emissions by about 3,470 tons, which is like removing 870 cars from traffic. I am also extremely pleased with the response from employees because this shows that we care about nature protection, which is the main focus of Jamnica’s corporate social responsibility strategy – concluded Ivan Čevra, President of the Management Board of Jamnica and Executive Director of the Beverage Group, Fortenova Group division and announced that the Jamnica brand will continue to be part of such actions across Croatia.
