This week, the companies VMD Standard and Ivamil, owned by Željko Vučemila, will recapitalize RIZ Odašiljači in bankruptcy, after which the payment of claims to creditors will follow. This was confirmed to Lider by the bankruptcy administrator Darko Šket, who stated that the bankruptcy plan, which was approved by the Creditors’ Assembly at the Commercial Court in Bjelovar with 95 percent of the votes, has become final.
Šket believes that RIZ Odašiljači has potential, which is supported by the fact that the company was selected in the public procurement process of HEP for the service and certification of 33 thousand meters, valued at seven million kuna, and that there have been continuous inquiries and contacts from previous and new partners for the maintenance and production of transmitters.
The bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the end of 2019, almost a year after the blocking of the current account. Claims were filed by 176 creditors of the first higher payment order (claims of workers), two secured creditors, and 81 claims of creditors of the second higher payment order, totaling 77,832,742 kuna. Creditors accepted the rehabilitation bankruptcy plan, which provides for the payment of all claims of secured and bankruptcy creditors of the first higher payment order, with a reservation for disputed claims at the same percentage, and that the costs of the bankruptcy proceedings be covered.
According to Šket, all of this would not have been possible if the creditors had opted for the sale of assets, especially regarding those in Božidarevićeva in Zagreb. They are, namely, not legally ‘settled’, meaning that there is still a not-so-short time ahead for regulating ownership relations, as only a smaller part of RIZ Odašiljači is registered on them.
A binding offer of 55.1 million kuna was submitted by the Consortium of bidders VMD Standard and Ivamil.
