HURA Becomes the New License Holder of IAB Croatia

The Croatian Association of Market Communication (HURA), the leading professional association that gathers some of the most awarded and highest quality agencies (53) representing 75 percent of advertising budgets, has taken over the IAB license for the domestic market. The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Croatia is a collective representative and ambassador of the interactive marketing industry and a large global organization IAB Global Network, and through this expansion connects all stakeholders engaged in maintaining the interactive marketing of the Croatian market at the highest standard.

Advantages for the Local Market

– The regulation of the market in Croatia, which we have been elevating to a new level for years, is visible at every step, therefore it is a great privilege, praise, and a boost to collaborate with the global Interactive Advertising Bureau and take over the IAB Croatia license – stated in a press release Dunja Ivana Ballon, the new director of IAB Croatia and executive director of HURA, adding that they have big plans that will start with bold and serious moves, inviting all interested parties to increase the potential of the industry in contributing to the digital economy.

The local market has become richer with numerous materials, specialized education, research, and analyses that will be exclusively available through IAB Croatia. Of immense value, as stated in the press release, will be the long-awaited Croatian Online Media Advertising Expenditure Report – the first annual estimate with data on advertising investments in online media, followed by expert guidelines, of which the most important for the functioning of the market are already in preparation – for the standardization of online advertising formats.

Additionally, while ensuring stability and development of the profession, IAB Croatia becomes an opportunity for interactive marketing companies to connect, exchange best practices, and for the first time unify communication towards various interest groups and legislators, representing the interests of the digital marketing industry.

Part of the Global Network

The goal is for future policies and regulations, even those at the EU level, to enable continuous innovation and sustainability, while simultaneously investing time and resources in specific issues faced by the interactive marketing community – from third-party cookies and consumer privacy to financial risks. All interested parties will gain insight into analyses and data illustrating the growth and position of digital in the economy, market trends and movements, as well as valuable content and education that IAB and HURA organize with a unique approach to the vast IAB knowledge base and materials, and networking at the European and global level.

– We are excited that HURA has taken over the license for Croatia and joined 45 other IAB organizations operating under the umbrella of the IAB Global Network. Following the increasing success of the IAB Croatia MIXX Awards, to which HURA has contributed through its work, and the expertise of the HURA team in the Croatian market, we are confident that we will see firsthand HURA’s commitment to key industry initiatives and its dedication to addressing critical issues in the profession – stated Alexandra Salomon, Vice President and Head of Global Business Development, IAB Tech Lab.

Otherwise, IAB Croatia already counts more than 50 members who have become part of this global organization through the Croatian Association of Market Communication (HURA). Through its operations within HURA, IAB Croatia will respond to the growing need of companies, agencies, publishers, and many others for unified communication and expanding influence in both the Croatian and international markets, providing them with necessary support through education and networking.
