[Video]: Genesis GV60 with Crystal Ball

The luxury car brand in Hyundai’s portfolio, Genesis, has premiered its latest fully electric model, the GV60. It is built on the same E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, which means that the new Genesis will charge extremely quickly, and that quick means it can charge up to 80 percent in just 18 minutes with a maximum range of 400 kilometers.

At first glance, the Genesis GV60 appears exceptionally elegant and somewhat futuristic with smooth lines and a sleek silhouette. The front is adorned with dual-row lights and a larger grille below the lights that emphasizes the car’s dynamic performance while also enhancing the cooling efficiency of the batteries located in the lower part of the vehicle. Digital side mirrors immediately catch the eye, which many drivers are not so thrilled about, as well as the ‘hidden’ electric door handles that appear when you approach the car.

All of this gives it a futuristic charm, further enhanced by the ‘folding hood’ that creates the impression of a lack of lines between the body parts. However, Genesis has shown the most ‘muscle’ on the gear shift lever, which comes in the form of a crystal ball located on a console that rotates and lights up in colors, depending on the driving mode.
