Selected Best Entrepreneurial Ideas in the Region Ready for the Global Market

The winners of the major regional selection of the best entrepreneurial ideas from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro are finally known. At the event called The finals: and now, the #CROWN held at the Jurjevec Castle in Lekenik, three best ideas from each of the mentioned countries were crowned, whose representatives are partners in the cross-border project Crown, it is stated in the announcement.

At the invitation of project partners, the Development Agency SIMORA, the Technology Park INTERA (BIH), and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis (CG), 300 young people applied with their entrepreneurial ideas. As candidates and their ideas were tested and developed, the selection process reduced the number of candidates. Thus, in the end, 6 candidates from Croatia, 13 from Montenegro, and 9 from BIH competed for the main prize in Lekenik. The prizes for the top three from each country are rich marketing campaigns that should ensure the visibility of the idea and the success of the crowdfunding campaign that will follow.

The winning ideas guarantee entry into the global market with their innovation and impressed the jury and the audience. In the competition of Bosnian-Herzegovinian candidates, the expert jury declared the best to be Minela Mešukić Omerović, who developed a dating app for the diaspora Yumeets, Emina Kapetanović and Kenan Nazdrajić, who contribute to the recovery of stroke patients with their app Motus Health, and Martina Đorđevska, whose brand Tegla captivates all lovers of hazelnut spreads.

In the competition of Montenegrin candidates, the best were declared to be Dalibor Peković, who brings a revolution to the world of podcasting and other videos with his product Amaturn, Batrić Krvavac, who developed a smart medicine box Medpack, and Matija Kadović whose product Stereo Art connects a digital image, photo, or illustration with a frame that has a sound system built into it. In the competition of Croatian candidates, the award in the form of a crowdfunding campaign was won by Stefan Vedrina, who developed the Learny platform with educational materials for children, Josipa Bencek, whose product Eye hearing revolutionarily helps transfer speech to text through smart glasses for hearing-impaired individuals, and Luka Soldo who presented Herbie, a solution for freeing from nicotine addiction.

Valuable awards were presented by Vedran Šimunović (INTERA), Ratko Bataković (Tehnopolis), and Mario Čelan (RA SIMORA), who, along with congratulating the winners, emphasized the project's focus on youth with the aim of creating new jobs, and this is one of the ways in which, with the financial support of the project, they secured those jobs themselves.

– We have not only selected the best ideas, we have selected those who have excellent ideas, but also developed cost estimates and a completely clear vision of how to bring their products to market. Candidates from Croatia have at their disposal marketing campaigns worth 25 thousand euros each, which will make the path they envisioned significantly easier – said Čelan.

Let us remind you that the cross-border project CROWN is worth more than 600 thousand euros and is co-financed by the EFRR and IPA II funds of the European Union.
