The withdrawal of several food products from the market has recently increased interest in the mobile application ‘HRana’ – in July alone, it recorded over a thousand downloads. This is a free application that provides citizens with information about the withdrawal or recall of products that pose a risk or danger to human and animal health or that may adversely affect the environment, available on the market and with a valid shelf life, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The application was developed for the Ministry of Agriculture by the company AKD and has been downloaded more than ten thousand times in just over a year. It contains all information about the defective product such as name and photo, country of origin and manufacturer, shelf life, type of health risk, actions taken by responsible institutions, and many others.
