In the Somewhat Morbid Predictions of the World Economic Forum, There Is No Room for Joy

When last year at the regular meeting of the world’s powerful in Davos, the Executive Director of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab announced a major initiative called 'Great Reset', many found ominous intentions in his words.  Soon after, the first grand video directed by the World Economic Forum appeared, in which the calm voice of Prince Charles explains how the time has come for a great reset.

– We have an incredible opportunity to create entirely new sustainable industries. It is time to take action now – says the prince as images of a dead whale, hurricanes, and a kangaroo on fire flash in the video.

The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window for reflection, re-examination, and resetting our world to create a healthier, fairer, and more prosperous future, is the summary of that video released last year. It also emphasizes the need to turn to a green economy and digitalization that should reduce inequalities and redirect the world from profit to creating greater benefits for the broader community.

That small glimmer of socialism and other 'isms' that some read from the video raised the extreme right political spectrum, economic liberals, and professional conspiracy theorists who realized that the corona was used precisely for the end of the system in which we have lived so far, in favor of the elite and the wealthy entourage from Davos, i.e., to create nothing less than a New World Order.  Their interpretation of the great reset of capitalism goes in the direction that the world is sliding towards a centralized decision-making system that excludes personal freedoms and rights in favor of a greater collective interest, along with all the new technology that will enable greater control over the population and will destroy any possible resistance.

And while the dust around the first video directed by the World Economic Forum has not yet settled, they hurried to release a second video that caused even greater nervousness among many and confirmed their suspicions that began with the Great Reset.

The video that appeared on the internet under the title 'You'll Own Nothing and Be Happy' or in translation 'You Will Own Nothing but You Will Be Happy'  triggered an even greater wave of dissatisfaction and increased the number of nervous people but also those seeking the truth on the fringes of various theories.

This video talks about eight points or predictions of how the world should look by 2030 from the perspective of the World Economic Forum.  The first point is the aforementioned, 'You'll Own Nothing and Be Happy'. It then continues with an explanation of how everything will be possible to rent, but it is unclear from whom. If we as a population own nothing, someone still owns it, is it the state or someone else, the Forum team does not explain. Then we turn to medicine and organ printing, and food that will require less meat to protect the environment and health. The video then talks about climate change and how due to it, a billion people will be forced to seek a new place to live and how we all must do a 'better job' when it comes to the integration of refugees (presumably those fleeing from climate). It continues with climate and mentions charging for CO2, the only question is who will impose that crazy charge on China. It all ends with the statement that Western values will be tested to their limits.

Needless to say, this video also caused a great uproar, especially on social media, but that did not stop the WEF from releasing another video.  For now, the latest video comes under the title 'How Our Lives Could Soon Look' and with the caption 'Take a Peek into the Future'.

It is hard to shake the impression that the WEF team is excited and that somewhat bizarre video recordings about the advantages and possibilities that Covid has brought are shyly pleasing some in that organization. Supporting this is a now-deleted video from the same organization in which they claimed that the lockdown improved cities around the world, reducing noise and light pollution. It was reduced, but for whom, when everyone was locked in their homes? Shortly after its release on Twitter, the video was deleted due to a large number of negative comments and declaring the director of the video simply insane.

However, it continued. In mid-August of this year, the WEF released the 'How Our Lives Could Soon Look' video and again stirred up dust. In that video, they present five new ways in which the pandemic will change the way we live in the long term. From the video and these new ways of life, it is possible to read that the WEF does not expect the pandemic to end.

It all starts with working from home and the possibility of repurposing spaces for other things like laboratories or places where you will connect with colleagues. As if that is not already done in the workplace. Also, the video that accompanies these messages continues to show people indoors with masks, disinfectants on the table, and QR codes. This means nothing of an imminent reopening. Then they turn to 'neighborhood hubs' that should replace those things we miss when commuting to work and which should be located 15 minutes from your home!? They are not clear here, but the hubs will contain halls, bars, and galleries. Why this must be in some hub and not anywhere in the city as before also remains unclear.

Then they predict the emergence of a 'cloud market'  which represents some kind of online stores probably with all possible supplies for which you obviously do not have to go because everything will be delivered to your doorstep. You do not leave the house even for food, everything arrives at your welcome mat.

After that, the video talks about how you can now be identified thanks to NASA by your heartbeat because each is unique, and surveillance cameras will not help because we are all wearing masks, so it had to be overcome somehow, and it seems that NASA has a solution.   It all ends with children and digital technology that will change the way children  learn, so school from home represents something positive for them, which in practice has not really been confirmed. They say that in this way, children will improve their digital skills, but today when kids scroll screens from a very young age, perhaps at that age they need a reduction in digital skills and an increase in 'go outside to play' skills.

The WEF sees a future without joy. All three videos are somewhat gloomy, nowhere is there a glimpse of fun or normal life, nowhere is anyone outside free and without a mask, nowhere is there children’s laughter. Judging by their vision, the desire is for us to be as closed as possible (with children), they want us not to go far from home (neighborhood hubs), and if we go out, they will find us by our heartbeats.
