Log Adria: Bojan Šefer sold the logistics company to Austrian Rhenus

The logistics company RHENUS has acquired LOG ADRIA from Kukuljanovo (Bakar) from founder Bojan Šefer, who has stepped down from the director position but remains on the Board. The new CEO is the Chairman of the Executive Board at RHENUS COMMODITY LOGISTICS Patrick Schäffer, and the third member of the new Board is Boštjan Pavlin.

Austrian Rhenus operates within the German family-owned RETHMANN GROUP. The regional expertise of the Croatian company is particularly important for RHENUS.

– We will connect this long-standing knowledge of customers and business partners at the local level with our global network, which significantly expands with this acquisition – commented Schäffer on the transaction.

RHENUS has so far been oriented towards the Danube (it owns the port in Krems) and is already operating in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Serbia, and is now entering the Croatian market and engaging in the Adriatic transport route through freight forwarding, transport chains, and other services via the ports of Rijeka and Ploče.

LOG ADRIA was founded in 2014, and in the past year, its revenues fell by about ten million kuna, but with 88 million kuna in revenue, it reported more than five million kuna in profit, which is six times more than in 2019.
