[Video] Audi RS 3 – Two new models race in both ‘sportback’ and sedan versions

Audi has introduced the third generation of the Audi RS 3 Sportback and the second generation of the Audi RS 3 Limousine. The two new models premium sports vehicles suitable for everyday use, but equally exciting on racetracks and public roads.

Unique Edition

Thanks to its high-performance five-cylinder engine, the Audi RS 3 is a unique edition in its segment. The 2.5 TFSI engine has won the 'International Engine of the Year' award nine times in a row, and in the latest generation of this compact sports vehicle, the engine is more powerful than ever before.

The new RS 3 models accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Their top speed is limited to 250 km/h, but 280 km/h is also available as an optional upgrade. With the RS Dynamic package and ceramic brakes, a top speed of 290 km/h can even be achieved. This makes the Audi RS 3 the best in its segment in terms of acceleration and top speed. All of this is primarily possible due to the increase in torque to 500 Nm, which is available from 2250 to 5600 rpm. Compared to its predecessor, this is an increase of 20 Nm.

As a result, the Audi RS 3 accelerates even faster from low torque ranges. The power of the five-cylinder engine is transferred to the asphalt via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with short shift periods and a gear ratio with an even more pronounced sporty character.

Striking Successor

The design of the new Audi RS 3 model is even more dynamic and striking than that of its predecessor. At the front of the vehicle, the wide RS bumper stands out, along with the redesigned Singleframe grille featuring a recognizable honeycomb structure and large air intakes that give this compact sports vehicle an expressive look. There is also a new design element behind the front wheel housings – an additional air intake that gives the Audi an even more dynamic appearance.

When it comes to visual elements, the RS 3 showcases its sporty DNA throughout the body, with a sporty RS exhaust system and displays in the cockpit that are typically found in racing vehicles. Additionally, for the first time in this model, a head-up display is available that projects relevant information onto the windshield in the direct line of sight of the driver, along with a gear shift indicator. The Audi RS 3 Sportback and RS 3 Limousine models will be available for pre-order in early August 2021, when prices for the Croatian market will also be announced.
