For years, we have proven that export deserves to be news in Lider, which is why we are organizing the conference Smart know what export is for for the eighth consecutive year. This year, at the conference, which will be held on July 9 at the International Hotel, we will discuss the extraordinary efforts of Croatian exporters to resist the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the opportunities that the changed business conditions have brought.
The conference will be opened by the editor-in-chief of Lider Miodrag Šajatović, and the export potentials and their importance for stimulating economic growth and recovery will be discussed by Tomislav Ćorić, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, as the envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia. To better prepare for the upcoming changes, exporters will also hear from Michael Faulend, Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank, who will provide insight into the monetary policy we can expect until the introduction of the euro and the currency risks in non-euro markets.
Since Croatia expects to receive around 6.1 billion kuna by the end of this year, which is an advance of 13 percent of the total amount of non-repayable funds secured under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO), the opportunities hidden in it for export-oriented companies will be presented by Zvonimir Savić, NPOO coordinator. How Croatian companies will integrate their programs into the NPOO worth 49 billion kuna to increase international competitiveness will be discussed at a round table by Mate Botica, a member of the Management Board and Director of Transmission and Connections, Boris Bekavac, Executive Director of the Corporate Business and Public Sector of the Croatian Postal Bank, Ana Fresl, Director of the consulting company Projekt jednako razvoj and President of the HUP Association of Professionals for EU Funds, Hrvoje Galičić, Advisor to the Management Board of HBOR, and Darko Pappo, a member of the Management Board of the DIV group.
