– For over 15 years, I have been professionally making people laugh and mocking our habits and events, but climate change is no joke, and it’s time to get serious at least for a moment every day and start taking small steps in this fight. Let’s recycle, pick up trash, plant a plant or tree, save energy, change our consumption habits, and show the younger generation that we act to ensure them a safe future… In the three months that the action marked with #HAHAprotivCO2 will last, I believe we will gather thousands of proofs that people really want and can help slow down and stop climate change. With support through a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, the idea of Pedja Bajović will be transformed into a project by the Terra Hub association, which has numerous projects for sustainable development, environmental protection education, and citizen activation.  Together with him, experts and volunteers from the association will daily demonstrate how to be a better friend to nature, so that it remains here for us.

– For us at Terra Hub, nature and a better, sustainable future is always and every day the greatest motivation for action. And given that in this case the bait is a few hours of laughter with Pedja – we will engage even more to encourage people to do something good for nature, but also for themselves. Everything that is changing around us due to climate change is not the least bit funny and poses a serious threat to our immediate future. Therefore, we want to encourage as many people as possible to take action for the climate, and it will be even better if every #standupzaklimu action is filled with laughter. Join us actively, in good spirits, and in return take infectious laughter and fun – said Sandra Vlašić from the Terra Hub association.

#Project #standupzaklimu officially starts on the first day of summer and ends on the last day of this season. This action is not limited to Croatia alone, as climate is a global issue. Partners of this project come from other countries in the region, so all good-willed people who want to join and then enjoy domestic comedy are welcome! The sign of recognition among all participants will be laughter.
