POŽGAJ Group has received the largest individual project order for three-layer boards from a new customer in Switzerland. This involves the delivery of five to six thousand square meters of three-layer oak boards that will be used as wall coverings in the renovation of the Basel offices of the Swiss pharmaceutical giant, Hoffmann-La Roche. The contracted quantity will be delivered within six months, with the first shipment planned for the end of July.
The redesign will transform the offices of Hoffmann-La Roche’s headquarters in Basel into an ultra-modern workspace for employees, and the visual impression and functionality will certainly be enhanced by the three-layer boards from POŽGAJ Group. These boards are an improved type of glued wooden boards that the Group began producing in 2000 with upgraded production. They are intended exclusively for the manufacture of high-value products. Thanks to the three-layer, cross-bonded structure, three-layer boards are more stable than classic solid (width and thickness) boards. They are most commonly used in the furniture industry.
Although POŽGAJ Group is currently in an unenviable situation due to a dispute and disapproval of the contract for the purchase of logs for 2021 with Croatian Forests, which has led them to almost completely turn to sourcing wood raw materials on the open market, the strength, resourcefulness, and long-standing experience of the organization have once again come to the fore, allowing them to continue successfully handling such demanding projects.
