United Group has announced that Telemach Slovenia and Telemach Croatia are merging into a single group led by Adrian Ježina, the current CEO of Telemach Slovenia.
As Croatia is on the path to becoming a fully convergent market for United Group, and Slovenia is already fully converging and growing in all segments, it is logical to connect these two markets through a unified management, say United Group, which operates the telecom operator Telemach Croatia, the television channels and portals Sport Klub and N1, Nova TV, Doma TV, as well as the portal dnevnik.hr.
Adrian Ježina began his career in Croatia where he worked for 15 years, and in his long professional experience in the telecommunications industry, he spent two decades in leadership positions. He was the long-time CEO of B.net, and later, after A1 acquired B.net, a member of the management board of A1, then known as Vipnet.
He joined United Group in 2017, and under his leadership, Telemach Slovenia became a leader in broadband internet in that country. Additionally, the company is one of the few alternative operators in Europe that has surpassed the former market monopolist. Telemach Slovenia has successfully increased its market share in mobile communications to about 25 percent and is the leading provider of video services in Slovenia.
