C.I.O.S. Group, in addressing the leaders of the City of Zagreb, congratulated them on their electoral victory and welcomed the announced implementation of a revision of all contracts of companies owned by the City of Zagreb, including contracts concluded with members of the Group, along with simultaneous public disclosure of the audit findings.
The reason for C.I.O.S. Group’s address to the new city authorities is the latest statement by the deputy mayor, who stated for RTL DANAS that contracts in previous tenders were largely agreed upon 'you know how' and that they want to end this practice. The Group expressed its readiness in its letter to Mayor Tomašević and the city mayors to agree to the termination of existing contracts at their invitation if the new leadership of the City of Zagreb believes it is in the interest of the citizens and companies owned by the City, as stated by C.I.O.S.
The duty of the deputy mayor is to report without delay to the relevant authorities if she has knowledge that existing contracts were concluded illegally, as she states, instead of publicly speculating about it.
– If you do not want to terminate existing contracts with C.I.O.S. Group, we expect public statements about the legitimacy and transparency of the business relationship between the City of Zagreb or Zagreb Holding and our Group, which is currently your partner and which is still, as before, ready to duly fulfill the obligations undertaken by contracts – states the Group’s address.
C.I.O.S. Group, nor any of its members, has not caused any damage to the Cleanliness Branch of Zagreb Holding through business cooperation, nor has there been any favoritism towards any member company of C.I.O.S. Group in any business with the City of Zagreb and Zagreb Holding.
