Finally, a fair! And it’s the electric version of the Auto Show!

After a long time, the fair season in Croatia is finally moving from a standstill, and one of the first events in its premiere edition is the electric mobility festival called Electric EVolution Festival (EEF), which will take place from June 11 to June 13 at the parking lot of City Center One West.

The organizer of EEF is the marketing and event company Booster, led by Hrvoje Jelinić and Ivan Reis, who planned this event earlier; however, there were no epidemiological prerequisites for its holding. As the measures began to ease, so did the interest of exhibitors and brands of electric vehicles, including Hyundai, Renault, Nissan, Dacia, Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes Benz, Smart, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Fiat, Audi, VW, Škoda, Seat Cupra, who will showcase their current offerings of electric and hybrid vehicles at EEF.

– The Electric EVolution Festival is the first such festival in Croatia, and there are not many in the world either. It is designed and thematically adapted for all generations, including the youngest, with the aim of educating and informing about electric mobility and its EVolution. The program will take place in three conceptual directions: exhibitions, expert lectures that will bring the topic of electric mobility closer to the general public, and test drives with professional guidance – explains Hrvoje Jelinić, the festival organizer.

EEF will collaborate with the Association of Electric Circuits, Hrvatski Telekom, and others to organize thematic lectures to present the advantages of using electric vehicles to visitors in a simple and practical way – about charging methods, infrastructure, subsidy opportunities, and other benefits that one should know if they decide to purchase an electric vehicle. The intention is to host speakers from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund to present plans and trends in the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies.

– The timing of the event coincides well with the new call for subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles, which is expected to be announced in early June, under a different model than the previous ‘fastest finger’. According to the new model, interested buyers should contact authorized car dealers who will present their current models ready for test drives at EEF. Most drivers in Croatia have not had the opportunity to drive electric cars so far, and it will certainly be an interesting experience for them – emphasized Jelinić.

According to him, so far, 15 brands of electric and hybrid cars have confirmed their participation, and representatives of electric scooters, e-bikes, and bicycles will also participate. They will present their latest lines of vehicles, both very affordable and more luxurious, and there will also be some premieres. The official program will be presented by the organizers on June 2, ahead of World Environment Day.

Currently, there are more than 25 car brands in the Croatian market offering plug-in hybrids and 100% electric vehicles. In Croatia, there are currently 1,160 electric vehicles registered on Croatian roads, with over 400 charging stations publicly available and more than 1,000 charging connections in 90 cities across Croatia.
