A1 Provides the Most Modern Optical and 5G Infrastructure to the Entrepreneurial Incubator in Novska

Thanks to A1 Hrvatska, developers of the entrepreneurial incubator PISMO in Novska and participants of the game development program have the opportunity to work with the most modern optical and 5G infrastructure. This is part of the partnership between A1 Hrvatska and the development agency of Sisak-Moslavina County, SIMORA, presented on Wednesday in Novska, the future center of the gaming industry.

Smart Solutions

A1 Hrvatska has been supporting the development of the domestic gaming industry in Novska for four years through the A1 Adria League and other projects, and this partnership has also provided them with technical prerequisites. Thus, participants of the game development program and employees of about fifty startups currently operating in Novska have access to the most modern access technologies – gigabit A1 optical and indoor 5G networks.

This is a technology that will be one of the drivers of recovery and development of the domestic economy and accelerated digitalization. Incredible opportunities for the application of smart solutions lie ahead, which will have a direct impact on increasing employment, economic development, and GDP in Croatia – stated Jiří Dvorjančanský, CEO of A1 Hrvatska, emphasizing that A1 is known for developing new technologies, as well as its commitment to education and learning.

The importance of technical support for the development of the gaming industry was explained by Mario Čelan, director of SIMORA.

— – Thanks to the gaming industry, the European Association of Development Agencies from Brussels recently declared SIMORA the best regional agency in Europe. Additionally, the project for the development of the gaming industry in Novska has been included in the strategic infrastructure projects within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, for which 150 million kuna has been secured for its campus. All this demonstrates Novska’s potential to become a regional center for an industry that is experiencing exceptional growth and brings added value to the local community and Croatia. Currently, about fifty startups are already operating in our incubator, and the education of the fifth generation of participants in the video game program is underway. The technical support and access to the most modern optical and 5G networks, provided by our technology partner A1 Hrvatska, are among the prerequisites for us to develop digital products for the future – stated Čelan.

— Tomislav Makar, Chief Technical and Information Technology Officer of A1 Hrvatska, took the stage with a 5G base station in hand to explain the advantages of the 5G network. As he pointed out, their goal is to build a 5G network that will ensure coverage, top network performance, and quality of service.

– A1’s vision is to provide the infrastructure so that Croatia can take advantage of all the opportunities brought by the fourth industrial revolution. Our ambition is to provide Croatia with the most modern optical network in all cities. We want to bring gigabit experience everywhere, whether we are in the largest city or on the most remote island – said Makar, adding that the 5G network will be operational during the summer.

— Vedran Škarica, founder and director of Delta Reality, the first domestic studio for creating content in virtual reality, explained that with the 5G network, the VR world becomes more realistic and responsive, enabling a top-notch experience. He presented this in a project specially developed for this occasion – a VR simulation of table tennis on the test A1 5G network.

The demonstration match in virtual reality was played by Jiří Dvorjančanský and former table tennis representative Roko Tošić, who stated that this is proof that technology and sports go hand in hand and hopes that this synergy in the virtual dimension will generate increasing interest, especially among young people and children who are just entering the world of sports.
