Croatian Infobip won a global award for the best mobile solution in the COVID-19 Mobile Response category at the MEFFYS awards organized by the Mobile Ecosystem Forum, and it has introduced its solution free of charge to more than 45 health ministries worldwide, Infobip reported on Thursday.
Infobip, as stated in the press release, in collaboration with WhatsApp enabled transparent and timely communication between health ministries and citizens, all aimed at preventing the spread of false and inaccurate information related to the coronavirus. Citizens could quickly and easily obtain verified and accurate information about the coronavirus, as well as the latest notifications about, for example, testing opportunities, travel, or local measures, all in one place via a publicly available number, i.e., a chatbot on WhatsApp.
Infobip’s CEO, Silvio Kutić, emphasized that the company has been focused from the very beginning of the pandemic on helping states and ministries achieve more efficient and higher quality communication with the population.
– Our employees and teams made great efforts, especially in that initial period of the initiative when it was most needed, and we made contacts and implemented our chatbot solutions worldwide in record times. We are glad that our solution has proven useful and successful in a large number of countries – emphasized Kutić.
