The European Commission at the beginning of July further increased its estimate of the decline of the Croatian economy to 10.8 percent this year, while they predicted  a partial recovery and growth of 7.5 percent.

Now, the governor of the Croatian National Bank (HNB), who will participate in Leader’s conference Day of Great PlansBoris Vujčić has commented on the GDP decline as well as economic expectations for Croatia in 2021.

Vujčić stated that the GDP decline of just over 15 percent is in line with the trends in the European Union, where GDP fell by an average of 14 percent, depending on the intensity of epidemiological measures, while the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Tomislav Ćorić, spoke about projections and a decline of 9 percent, due to a tourist season that was better than expected.

In a situation where everyone is guessing the GDP movement for the next year, we invite Leader’s readers to give us their estimates in the survey.

At the 12th Leader’s conference Day of Great Plans which will be held on September 23 at the Zagreb Fair the governor of HNB, Boris Vujčić, will also participate as a speaker, delivering a lecture on credit and monetary policy in 2021 and the introduction of the euro, and all registered participants will be able to ask him firsthand about his estimates and GDP movements, as well as economic expectations for the next year.
