Minister of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy Josip Aladrović announced that negotiations on amendments to labor legislation will begin before October of this year.
– It is necessary to recognize the opportunities arising from technological advancement and to utilize them to encourage entrepreneurial activity and expand active participation in the labor market. The new regulation should serve as an incentive for economic growth and through the introduction of possibilities for better work organization that will, on one hand, affect greater worker productivity, and on the other hand, through innovative forms of work that allow for a better balance between business and private life – said Aladrović for Jutarnji.
He added that this situation is also an opportunity for more intensive digitalization of the domestic private and public sectors and for a stronger step forward towards a more efficient and competitive Croatian economy.
Regarding wages in the state and public sectors, the minister emphasized that their primary goal is to protect wage levels in the entire economy.
