Supernova Group began revitalizing the Kaptol Center in the autumn of last year, investing 15 million euros. In the meantime, the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and a rather devastating earthquake for the center of Zagreb occurred. Therefore, we checked on the progress of the works.
– The reconstruction and modernization works of the Kaptol Center are ongoing and in accordance with the planned deadlines, and we have not experienced any delays due to the corona crisis and the earthquake – say representatives from the Austrian Supernova Group, which opened the renovated Branimir mingle mall in December, investing five million euros in its redesign.
They add that by the end of this year, they plan to complete all common internal and external areas and prepare business spaces for further construction and equipping for tenants, and by spring 2021, the center should be fully reconstructed.
– We are still on schedule, but our plans, of course, depend on the plans of the tenants and their ability to adapt to the current situation. We are monitoring the market situation and will act according to the conditions that will allow us to open the Kaptol Center in full splendor – replies Markus Pinggera, director of Supernova Group, which owns a number of shopping centers across Croatia. There are several in Zagreb, including Supernova Buzin, Garden Mall, Branimir mingle mall, Centar Cvjetni, and Centar Kaptol.
