DHL Express Increases Fleet Capacity with Boeing 767-300 Freighters

DHL Express, the world’s leading express service provider, and Boeing, the largest aerospace company in the world, have announced that DHL Express will add four 767-300  – Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) as part of the logistics company’s efforts to further modernize and grow its fleet with cost-effective and reliable cargo aircraft.

This step is part of DHL’s goal to modernize its intercontinental long-haul fleet to be more environmentally friendly and economical. The aircraft are being converted by Boeing from passenger configuration to freighter to meet the needs of DHL Express and satisfy the growing global demand for express services.

– We have been operating the 767-300F model across our fleet for 7 years and look forward to continuing to invest in the platform by adding more 767-300BCF aircraft that will not only improve efficiency,  but also enhance our environmental impact. This brings us closer to the goals of the 2025 Strategy and ensures we provide the highest quality service possible to our customers – added Kehr.

DHL Express utilizes innovative solutions and technologies. In its 2025 strategy, it anticipates further growth in cross-border trade and, as a result, increased demand for intercontinental delivery experiences. Therefore, the goal is a well-connected global network while simultaneously reducing carbon emissions and fuel consumption to benefit the environment, partners, and customers. Since 2019, DHL Express has replaced old 747-400 aircraft with 14 state-of-the-art Boeing 777F. DHL Express operates more than  260 dedicated aircraft with 17 partner airlines on over 3,000 flights daily in 220 countries and territories.
