Croatian Designers Win Prestigious Global Red Dot Award

Staša Brozina and Veronika Uravić Čolak, are recipients of one of the most prestigious global design awards – Red Dot Award for Product Design, in the category 'Communication Design' for the packaging design solution of Bakin'Mix.

Bakin'Mix is a Croatian product, a gluten-free brand developed in collaboration with nutritionists and experts by Staša Brozina, while Veronika Uravić Čolak from  the design studio: Reedesign Studio Rijeka created its conceptual design.

– This is a great encouragement and a boost for our first product brand, which will certainly help in successfully positioning it in both domestic and international markets – said Staša Brozina, director of A1 All Natural, the company behind the launch of this brand.

According to Veronika Uravić Čolak, the process of building the brand and designing the product packaging took about 6 months, during which they worked thoroughly based on research and analysis of similar products in both domestic and international markets.

The face of the Bakin'mix product is a grandmother with a bun of gray hair, emphasizing the brand’s core value – connecting tradition with contemporary dietary needs.

The product line includes seven different mixes, and the color selection is based on research and trends of similar products worldwide to achieve the best visibility on store shelves.

The award has been presented since 1955 by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG from Essen, with entries submitted across 17 categories and 36 'industries'. The jury consists of 24 experts in the field of communication design, and Bakin’Mix was awarded in competition with 6,992 works from around the world.
