Counting Trailers (12): Regeneracija from Zabok Sends 12 Trailers to the EU Market Weekly

The core business of Regeneracija is recycling, which consists of collecting waste textiles from industry and households and transforming them into raw materials for the production of non-woven textiles for various industries. Long-standing experience and tradition in this field have existed since 1954 when the company began collecting and sorting textile waste from nearby factories.

The share of exports in total revenue amounts to over 90%, and our main export markets are EU countries (Germany, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands…) where we supply large chains such as Bauhaus, Lux, Hornbach, Schuller Ehklara, WBW, and many others.

Last year, a total of 612 trailers, which is about  12 trailers  of finished products, left the factory weekly. This year, despite difficulties in exporting products to certain countries, which we faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, April, and May,  we hope to reach last year’s figures unless the situation significantly complicates – they tell us from Regeneracija.

Today, the company employs 150 workers, and our business model represents an excellent and frequently cited example of the „circular economy“, as by using textile waste as raw material for the production of non-woven textile products – we reduce the mass of disposed textile waste in landfills, guided by the achievement of sustainable development goals.

In addition to using the services of external carriers, Regeneracija also owns 3 trucks.

We invite all entrepreneurs to contact us with information about the quantity of their trucks and trailers they are filling for export. Until now, we have counted tourists entering Croatia (to avoid misunderstandings, every tourist is worth their weight in gold), and Lider is starting to count trucks leaving our borders with goods for sale.
