On the London market, the price of a barrel strengthened by 1.12 percent last week, reaching 43.24 dollars, while on the American market, the price of a barrel increased by 0.84 percent to 40.55 dollars.
After the previous week, when oil prices jumped by approximately 4 percent, last week’s increase in oil prices was modest, influenced by the rise in the number of Covid-19 infections that led several U.S. states to impose travel restrictions on their citizens, which could undermine the recovery of oil demand in the world’s largest consumer.
