The Management Board of the Croatian Employment Service has made a decision on the Support for the Preservation of Jobs in sectors affected by the coronavirus (COVID – 19) for the month July 2020, which pertains to micro entrepreneurs.
This measure from HZZ for July 2020, compared to the measure from June, brings some changes, and below we provide answers to some important questions.
1. Who can and who cannot use this measure?
This measure is intended for employers who conduct economic activities, whose economic activity has been disrupted and who employ up to 10 workers. We emphasize that support cannot be granted in cases where multiple business entities have the same owner/founder, who individually employ less than 10 workers, but all business entities together have more than 10 workers in employment. The measure cannot be used by private accommodation renters, family farms that are not in the profit or income tax system.
2. For which workers can the measure be used, and for which cannot?
The measure can be used for workers at the employer, who are employed on a fixed or indefinite working time, including founders, board members, directors, procurators, and owners of crafts. However, this targeted group does not include retired workers and foreign workers from third countries whose residence and work permits have expired, nor workers employed after June 30, 2020.
3. What is the amount of support?
The amount of support is 2,000.00 kuna per worker who is employed full-time, or a proportional part per worker according to the number of working hours if the worker is employed part-time.
