In front of the main entrance to the Clinical Hospital Center Sestre milosrdnice in Zagreb, a donation worth a total of 100,000 Kuna was handed over to the hospital director Mario Zovak, consisting of eight M-Care devices that provide simultaneous temperature measurement at the wrist and hand disinfection, as well as more than 500 liters of the disinfectant Desderman.

The funds for this valuable donation were raised from the proceeds of ticket sales for the Drive-In Cinema, the largest event – with spacing, held in the early days of lifting strict isolation measures due to the coronavirus. This socially responsible project, which delighted the audience over ten evenings at the Eastern parking lot of the Zagreb Fair, was organized by the marketing agency Creative Business Solutions in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company STADA and other partners and sponsors of the project.

The donation was handed over to the hospital director by Zoran Krečar, project manager of Drive-In Cinema from Creative Business Solutions, and Hrvoje Lisak, Business Unit Manager at STADA, who also demonstrated how to use the devices.

– Given the importance of KBC Sestre milosrdnice, as well as the current situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we felt the need to help ensure maximum protection for staff and patients and to thank the medical staff for all they do for us. For more than two thousand visitors, we organized screenings of attractive films for all tastes at the Drive-In Cinema, and we are particularly pleased that from the proceeds of ticket sales we were able to purchase eight M-Care devices and more than 500 liters of disinfectant, which will help the hospital protect itself from unwanted consequences when patients enter the hospital premises – said Zoran Krečar while handing over the donation to the hospital director.

– We are glad that we, as a socially responsible company, have participated and supported this commendable and humanitarian project. We believe that the visitors of the Drive-In Cinema, in moments of complete lack of social life, enjoyed both the films shown and the humanitarian aspect of this project, of course, while respecting all recommendations of the Civil Protection Headquarters – added Hrvoje Lisak.

The total value of the donation handed over amounts to 100,000 Kuna, and it will serve KBC Sestre milosrdnice for controlling the entry of all persons into the hospital and hand disinfection as a preventive measure against possible transmission of the coronavirus, but also during the epidemic of seasonal diseases. The mentioned devices are produced by the Croatian company Metalis, and they are a unique product on the market that allows simultaneous measurement of body temperature at the wrist and hand disinfection.

– Such gestures of humanity, besides providing our hospital with valuable devices that will increase the level of protection for all our patients and visitors, encourage us towards social solidarity and responsibility for the health of citizens. As this coronavirus epidemic has shown, when citizens unite in responsible behavior, we achieve good results. Therefore, I am confident that this donation will contribute to the safety of all of us who come and go from the hospital daily, especially patients who are the most vulnerable – thanked the donor, the director of KBC Sestre milosrdnice, Mario Zovak.
