Addiko Bank is once again the holder of the Employer Partner certificate this year, a prestigious recognition for excellence in human resource management awarded by the consulting firm SELECTIO, demonstrating a high level of commitment to developing the best HR practices. The bank’s human resources department invests significant effort in developing thoughtful HR practices that respond to real business challenges and in creating a healthy work environment for employees.
In 2019, Addiko Bank implemented a Diversity Management Policy and Strategy. During the upcoming period, Addiko Bank will work on educating employees about the importance of respecting diversity and will undertake concrete activities to further ensure equality and inclusion in the workplace. The bank’s commitment to this topic is evidenced by the fact that at the end of 2019, Addiko Bank was the first bank in Croatia to sign a diversity charter with HUP, and over 60% of the bank’s management positions are held by women.
Addiko Bank pays a lot of attention to being an appropriate workplace for employees who balance business and family challenges. Employees have access to benefits such as a day off for parents of first graders, a day when employees can bring their children to work, yoga sessions in the company’s premises, and the initiation and support of a no-meeting Friday. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to socialize outside the office with a band composed of Addiko Bank employees or during sports activities when all employees are invited to engage in physical activity outdoors. Healthy living is also promoted during Addiko Health Day in collaboration with the Andrija Štampar Institute of Public Health, where everyone has the opportunity to measure blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and body mass index, and receive advice on healthy living.
Employees of Addiko Bank are also provided with various types of development programs and training such as workshops, seminars, conferences, individual and group coaching, e-learning courses, and co-financing of formal education. 99% of the bank’s employees underwent some form of professional development in the past year, and a new form of education was introduced through the (Nar)učite Espresso project, which covers everyday topics such as active listening, providing feedback, procrastination, and similar subjects, as well as a Masterclass where employees can hear interesting speakers from Croatia and around the world.
