The Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County Organizes Training in ‘Design Thinking’!

The Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County has organized training in the field of 'Design Thinking' as part of the project 'Development of the Partnership Council for the Labor Market of Šibenik-Knin County Phase III'. The training is intended for employees from organizations and representatives of members of the Partnership Council for the Labor Market of ŠKŽ. The program, which includes about fifty participants, started on Monday, and the training is being conducted at the premises of the Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County.

– ''Design Thinking'' is the leading global methodology for solving complex business challenges, and participants in the training have the opportunity to learn how to use it in various business situations, primarily for conceptualizing ideas. The training is aimed at designing new products, services, and business models through ''Design Thinking'' approach. Participants have the opportunity to acquire knowledge of a new approach to solving their core activities, whether they come from associations, local government, the economy, or plan to apply for EU project calls through business modeling ''Design Thinking'' approach – state the representatives of the Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County.

Moreover, ''Design Thinking'' is one of the leading global methods for solving business challenges. It is a process that teams use to understand users, redefine problems, and create innovative solutions for prototyping and testing. This is a widely applicable creative technique that consists of 5 phases: empathy with the user, defining, ideation, prototyping planning, and testing.

– This well-known global method is used in many organizations to address challenges where it is necessary to better define the problem or discover a completely new approach, and it can also be combined with other creative techniques with which the training participants will be familiar. Participants in the training have the opportunity to adopt a range of new knowledge, techniques for approaching problem-solving, and methodologies that will benefit them in their further business development – state the representatives of the Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County.

The project ''Development of the Partnership Council for the Labor Market of Šibenik-Knin County Phase III'', worth 1,981,518.59 kuna, is implemented by the Public Institution Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County, and the partners in the project are the Croatian Employment Service Regional Office Šibenik, Šibenik-Knin County, the HGK Office for Areas of Special State Concern Knin, and the Lovre Montija Secondary School.

The project is 85 percent financed based on the Operational Program Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020 from the European Social Fund, while 15% of the amount is secured from the budget of the Republic of Croatia.
