Lider in its new issue publishes an exclusive list of the one hundred most powerful Croatian businesswomen. These are the owners of companies that do not have men in their ownership structure.

—The list of the one hundred most powerful businesswomen differs in many ways from the list of the 300 most powerful women in Croatian business. While among the 300 women there are managers – presidents and members of boards of directors, as well as supervisory boards – here we have for the first time singled out the owners of companies.
It was not easy to compile this list. We set the criterion of exclusively female ownership, aware that in this way we unjustly disqualify some women, while favoring others who are ownership-oriented in family companies.
There are many family groups where the husband leads one part of the business, and the wife another, and sometimes ownership and management are intertwined. For example, Ruža Vučkovac (Anamarija-company) did not make it to the list, and 'the culprit' for that is her husband Miroslav Vučkovac. They share ownership of a roastery that has grown into a respectable coffee production company.
