The yellow DHL Express aircraft marked "Thank you" with a large rainbow on its fuselage landed at Zagreb International Airport. With this special aircraft featuring two prominent markings, one of which was „Thank You“, we expressed our gratitude to all healthcare workers, DHL employees, drivers, police officers, and firefighters for everything they did for us during the coronavirus pandemic, as they did not have the opportunity, like many of us, to care for their loved ones in the safety of their own homes.

We also sent a message of support to all those fighting this cruel disease with the sign of the „golden ribbon“ that symbolizes the fight against cancer in children. The aircraft’s passage through the ‘water salute’, its approach, the excitement, and the curious gazes of the female crew, Captain Elisabetta Nobili and First Officer Blanca Luna, were indescribable.

Srebrenka Saks, Director of DHL Express Croatia said, „It is a wonderful feeling to belong to a company that, through its activities, efforts, dedication, and employee behavior, always makes a difference in everything it does, and this was a special way in which DHL Express conveyed a unique message of respect and admiration to all those who saved lives daily during COVID-19, as well as to our couriers who enabled us to continue providing services to our clients.“ Srebrenka Saks, Director of DHL Express Croatia.“

So far, the aircraft has landed in 23 different countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Spain, and Morocco, with planned landings in Israel, Portugal, and Austria.

To further spread the message and engage colleagues, Network Operations Europe launched the „Rainbow & Heroes“ campaign aimed at encouraging employees to share photos of the aircraft across Europe. Since the end of May, the transport container has featured the message “Thank YoULD”. This container, used for transporting express shipments, will fly across Europe, allowing a large number of employees to see it and have the opportunity to convey their message to colleagues in other European countries.
